A lovers' piece.

A lot of symbolism in this work. The "Raven," bringer of messages or omens, shapeshifting, and blending the human and animal.

The raven is holding the world (Earth, which I am aware it is not geographically accurate, I did that on purpose) -- for, when in love, the two people (or one, in come cases), tend to think that they can take on the world, or that the world (their lover) is their's. So, the raven holds the world, for all relationships carry some sort of omen.

The red -- passion, love, and pain. All relationships bear this (IT IS NOT THAT THE RAVEN GOT ITS BRAINS SPLATTERED).

The black -- death. For, in blinded by passion, some lovers would kill or harm someone (including themselves) to protect it.

The white -- nothingness. For, when in love, one will feel as though they are an "empty shell" (or "blank") when someone of importance (their lover, for example) is not there/near.
