Artist's Comments

This is a horse (OMG, a HORSE) that I drew for my older sister, Ashley. She's nuts about horses, you see.

And the scanner succeeded in killing it. D: It actually looks a ton better in real life (IRL).

The horse is "jumping" out of "blue, and other colored, flames." Thus signifying that, even though enveloped in hard times, there is always a time when you can just run out and finally be free. Which is what my sister needs - having two babies, a husband, and a dog at eighteen years of age. She lives at home and hates it, and most of my family (which, I do, too).

So this is for her. :]

I used to almost all the time. XD I had a couple of references - a picture from the local paper of two racehorses in a race. The knees are a pain. X_x

Wow Kirada, I love it!! I suck at drawing horses. :[ Which is pretty sad since I just adore them so much. lol You should really do more horses. ;D

That's what I was thinking. XD

See, I was working on the lower half. But I kept messing up the hind legs (they didn't look like they were jumping, but instead broken). So I was like "okay, forget it. Make it half-in, half-out." LOL.
